Public Property Records: Minneapolis Real Estate
Tax and assessment information is readily available Public Property Records. County property tax records may give you information such as current assessed Estimated Market Value and previous sale records. Information available varies from county to county.

By searching the public property records base, you may be more likely to gain refinancing for your home - if you know your homes value first. If there is lots of equity in your home and you're not to far behind on payments, this may work well for you. Download the Minnesota Housing Multifamily Underwriting Guidelines 2011. Page 10 has relevant information about your home's appraisal.
If you are facing foreclosure, and are not too far behind in your monthly payments, just explain to your bank or lender that you had a few bad months and things are now better. It cannot hurt and most lenders will try to work something out with you. Know your homes value from the public property records first and approach the subject from a well informed premise.
